Job Purpose
As a Hospitality supervisor you will cover all elements of the operation, both front of house customer service and presentation and delivery of the food offer. You will deliver an outstanding customer experience, ensuring compliance to the food safety policy and operating procedures as well as achieving sales and customer service targets.
You will support management to lead the team to adhere to service standards and provide top quality service to all events. You will assist with staff training and development and be a constant example of the level that all staff should reach. It is important that you use your experience to offer suggestions to improve service standards to help all events run smoothly.
Being a key team player and demonstrating a passion and pride in what you do is essential. As customer service is key to this role you will always be polite, professional and helpful to all clients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure the team execute the food and drink offer to the agreed presentation standards.
To manage the control of food and drink items ensuring compliance with company policies is always achieved. This will include managing internal functions and events.
To lead the team to provide first class service for all events.
Organising daily routes and staffing requirements for the department planning for the week ahead drop offs and pickups.
Use sound judgement in dealing with customer queries/complaints and take appropriate action for amicable solution(s) to be found.
Build effective relationships with team members, empowering them to bring forward new ideas to improve the offer and service delivered.
Decision making with respect to any staff issues, communicate requirements if any minor concerns and escalating more complex issues to the Hospitality Manager.
Liaising with the hospitality chef regarding dietary needs, ordering of stock, menus and ticketing.
Take control of stock and assist with monthly stocktaking for the department.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and flexible working approach to meet the demands of the operation.
Demonstrate a passion for customer service excellence and offer a personalised service that exceeds customer expectation.

A1 Ability to demonstrate the competencies to undertake the duties associated with this level of post having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills in a similar role.
A2 Good presentation and professional yet personable and friendly.
A3 Health and safety awareness in a similar environment.
Desirable
B1 Food safety level 1 and 2.

Experience

E1 Experience of working independently and as part of the team.
E2 Previous experience in the catering and hospitality industry.
Terms & Conditions
For a well-known Glasgow brand.
Salary will be £14.00 - £15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
This post is open ended (permanent) and is full time with a working pattern of 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility may be required by mutual agreement and there may be some weekend and public holiday working.
