You will work in partnership with a range of academic and professional services staff, employers and students to design and deliver careers and employability programmes for UG and PGT students and therefore make a significant contribution to the ambitions of the University’s Learning and Teaching strategy.

3. Engage directly with students and staff to inform the planning, design and delivery of the careers and employability programme.

4. Build strong and productive relationships with relevant employers, working closely with academic and professional services colleagues and the CEO Employer Engagement team, to maximise the benefit of the University’s existing employer links and expand work-related learning opportunity for students.

5. Analyse, interpret and use key data to influence and inform the design of careers interventions as an integrated part of student education and aligned with curricula.  Plan and manage projects that are intended to address specific student needs within their discipline.

6. Work closely with other members of the Academic Partnerships and Student Professional Development teams to improve the career outcomes of students, developing a central repository of materials and good practice to enhance employability and promoting their use in teaching and co-curricular settings.

7. As an expert member of the CEO team, proactively monitor the effectiveness, quality and impact of provisions, contributing to continuous improvement and helping to make this a sector-leading service.

8. Drawing on professional background and expertise, deliver skills courses and information sessions, facilitate group work and experiential learning.

9. Act as a mentor and role model within CEO supporting the development of new members of careers management staff. This may include training and supervision of others involved in the delivery of careers and employability.

10. Represent CEO on internal governance groups and networks and participate actively as a member of external local and international networks and working groups, influencing policy and strategy inside the University and also at regional, Scottish and UK national levels.
